Frequently Asked Questions

If plastic wrap was utilized to protect your tattoo, please keep the plastic wrap on for approximately two hours. If I’ve put second skin on you please leave it for 5 days. The adhesive bandage is waterproof allowing you to shower without discomfort so you can resume your everyday activities with minimal to no discomfort. The adhesive bandage protects your new tattoo from infection, scabbing and any other irritants. Please let me know if you are allergic to latex or adhesives!
When it's time to remove your bandage, rinse any build up residue on your tattoo with warm water and gently clean it with antibacterial soap. Pat down the tattooed area with a clean paper towel and let it air dry. Apply a thin layer of unscented, petroleum free lotion twice a day. It is important to keep your new tattoo clean and moisturized during the healing process to minimise itching and flaking. Keep your tattoo CLEAN. Please seek medical attention if warranted.
ONCE HEALED
Before deciding if your tattoo needs retouching, please allow a month minimum for it to heal completely. Your tattoo is healed when it stops flaking. Check your tattoo to see if all lines are healed well. If you have any concerns or question, please email me directly with a picture of your tattoo. I will respond and offer a time to perform the touch-up if deemed necessary.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MINDIt is normal for excess ink, blood, plasma, and body fluids to build up underneath the bandage, causing the tattoo to look blurry so don’t panic!
Avoid any soaps or lotion with any fragrances or harsh chemicals as they can irritate your skin.
Do not scratch or pick after your tattoo if it becomes itchy during the peeling process.
Keep the tattoo away from direct sunlight.
Avoid tanning beds, gym and soaking the tattoo in water
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after getting your tattoo.
How to notice an allergic reaction to second skin: redness around the edge of the bandage, not on the tattoo itself. If you notice irritation from the second skin, take off the bandage immediately and follow aftercare instructions as normal. If you have sensitive skin, I would avoid using second skin and stick to the traditional way of healing the tattoo with cling wrap. Seek medical attention if needed.

Fill in the booking form or DM me on Instagram — either works. Once we've had a quick back and forth about the design, placement and sizing, I'll confirm your appointment and send deposit details. The deposit secures your spot and comes off the total cost on the day.

Usually within a few days. If it's been more than a week, feel free to follow up — things occasionally slip through.
-
Yes, almost always. Most of what I do is custom or heavily adapted from a reference. If you have a specific vision, bring it. If you have a vague feeling and no idea how to articulate it, also bring that — I'm good at working from vibes.
-
Occasionally. The best way to know when I have flash available is to follow me on Instagram — that's where I'll post it first.
-
Fill in the form with as much detail as you can — placement, rough size, what you're after — and I'll give you a ballpark when I respond. I work to budgets and I'm probably more reasonable than you're expecting, so don't let that stop you from reaching out.

I’m currently based in Little Art Tattoo in Burwood, opposite the chinatown but I’m planning to guest around. To keep up to date where I am, check out my Instagram.

Yes, occasionally. Follow along on Instagram for announcements, or reach out directly if you have something specific in mind.

Eat a proper meal beforehand, stay hydrated, wear something that gives easy access to the area being tattooed. Do not drink or take drugs within 24 hours of your appointment. Bring entertainment like music, podcasts, games or books if you want. Everything else we'll sort out on the day.
-
I'll give you full aftercare instructions at your appointment. In general: keep it clean, keep it moisturised, keep it out of direct sun while it's healing. Your piece will be fully healed after 2-4 weeks, depending on the size and areas of black/colour. Don't pick at it!

Yes. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Everything is packaged carefully because I'd be sad if something arrived damaged.
-
Most of them, yes. When something sells out I won't necessarily reprint it. The email list is the best way to know when new things drop.
-
I strongly recommend against any type of numbing cream. It changes the skin texture and makes tattooing difficult.
-
I offer touchups from when your tattoo fully heals to a year after your appointment. Just message or email me and we can set a time up.
